The Competition deadline approaches…

The deadline for our literary competitions is looming so if you are planning to enter one of our four categories this year, please don’t delay. Entries must be submitted by 30 June 2018. There are four different categories to choose from, so there is bound to be one – or even more – that suits your particular talent.

Entries in our Short Story Competition should be between 1,000 and 2,000 words in length and the judge will be Helen Stevenson, author of three novels and a memoir.  Poems in our Poetry Competition can be on any subject but must not exceed 40 lines. Poetry will be judged by Terry Gifford.  Gill McLay, who founded the Bath Kids Lit Fest, will be judging our Book for Children, and for our newest category, Young Poets, Miriam Nash – a poet, performer and educator – will be the judge. This category is open to anyone aged between 16 and 22 inclusive. Poems may be on any subject but must not exceed 35 lines in length.

Full details of the competitions and how to enter can be found here, and you will find all the rules here.

Make sure you get your entry in before time runs out!
