Rose to Interview Brearley
October 5 2018We are delighted to announce that former England left-hander Brian Rose will be coming to Wells on Friday 26 October to discuss all aspects of cricket with Mike Brearley. Mike’s latest book On Cricket is a wonderful compendium of anecdotes and observations about the game. Brian of course is best remembered for leading Somerset to their first silverware, the Gillette Cup and the John Player League in 1979, a year which marked the start of a golden age for the county. Their discussion at Wells is bound to stir up memories and reminiscences as well as inspiring thoughts about the present, even perhaps advice for the future of the game.
