Last call for our competitions
June 23 2021A few weeks ago it was reported that Nicola Clifford, a former winner of the Short Story Competition, had gone on to snap up a three-novel publishing deal (a spine-chilling murder mystery series set in Wales).
The most recent triumph has gone to a poet. Last year’s Open Poetry winner, Maggie Wadey has been Highly Commended in the prestigious Sentinel Literary Quarterly Competition. Maggie has also been shortlisted for Ireland’s Fish Publishing Competition and has recently had work published in the bi-annual art and literary magazine The Pomegranate as well as the Norman Nicholson Anthology. All of which goes to show that, if you start in Wells, you can end up wherever your dreams take you!
